We have a wide range of successful franchisees with various backgrounds. Common attributes among our franchisees include: entrepreneurs, commitment to your community, Team Leaders, good business savvy, comfortable in a franchise system, guest service centric, Team builders.

We generally look for a net worth in the $1.5M to $2M range depending of the total investment required. The unencumbered cash requirement is 35% of the total investment.

To build a Boston Pizza as an interior fit-out will range from $1.4M to $1.9M including soft costs. Costing will vary based on market, size of restaurant, time of year, and other construction-related variables. Construction of building shell is additional costs.

Approval process takes 2-4 weeks upon being interviewed by Boston Pizza Representatives

Typically the process runs about 7-9 months in total, from the creation of architectural drawings to opening day depending on availability and status of the site. Restaurant conversions can take considerably less time depending on the state of the building and required scope of work.

• Franchise fee is $60,000 plus applicable taxes
• Royalty Fees are 7% on food and non-alcoholic sales
• CO-OP Advertising is 3% on food and non-alcoholic sales
• No royalty fees on alcohol sales

It is mandatory for all new franchisees to complete a 6 to 8 week training program at our regional corporate training centre.

There is no cost associated with the training program but candidates will have to pay for accommodations if required and meals.
